Mrs. Cox was introduced to the piano at an early age and has since spent her lifetime as a teacher, church pianist and accompanist. A native of Wisconsin, Mrs. Cox received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and then moved to Texas to earn a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. While in Fort Worth, she taught at Lake Arlington Academy of Music and Lake Country Christian School.
In addition to maintaining a private piano studio for almost 30 years, she is in demand as an accompanist and works with many outstanding choral groups and soloists of all levels in the Conroe and Magnolia school districts. She has had the privilege of performing with six different choirs specially selected to highlight the Texas Music Educators Conventions over the past nine years. In 2018, Mrs. Cox was blessed with the opportunity to accompany and tour with The American Festival Choir throughout Italy. Kristy and her husband, Steven, reside in The Woodlands with their precious daughter Jen and their two Scottish Terriers.
